Pokémon Legends Arceus Officially Verified Mega Evolutions: Z-A
Along with the leaks, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have officially revealed a list of new Mega Evolutions. This gives trainers a clear idea of some of the powerful forms they can use. The journey to find out more started with Mega Dragonite, which was shown off at a Pokémon Presents in July 2025.
This grand form enhances the Dragon Pokémon Legends Arceus’s benevolent yet formidable essence, showcasing enlarged wings and a tail jewel reminiscent of its pre-evolved state, Dragonair. After that, it was revealed that other famous Pokémon would be getting new forms.
The classic Generation I pitcher plant, Mega Victreebel, had a body that was swollen with acid. Mega Hawlucha, which was inspired by luchadores, got stronger so it could take hits and hit back with amazing moves. The evil Mega Malamar got a bigger brain, which makes its psychic powers stronger and makes it a hard partner to work with.
These leaked species appear to corroborate a widely shared pre-release list that suggested as many as 27 new Mega Evolutions could be introduced in the base game, featuring Pokémon from various regions such as Mega Clefable from Kanto, Mega Meganium from Johto, and Mega Falinks from Galar .
The Kalos starter trio will also get their Mega Evolutions, which fans have been waiting for, but in a different way. As part of the Z-A Battle Club’s online Ranked Battles over several seasons, Mega Chesnaught, Mega Delphox, and Mega Greninja will all get their Mega Stones as rewards for winning. Mega Delphox gets fiery, floating branches to help it attack, and Mega Greninja holds on to a huge, gel-like water shuriken.
Lastly, the paid DLC, Mega Dimension, will add two new forms for a familiar character: Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y. Mega Raichu X floats and fights by using electromagnetic repulsion from its twin tails. Mega Raichu Y, on the other hand, makes a lot of power instantly by sending energy back and forth between its head and tail.
