Meta has teamed up with Midjourney, a well-known AI service that makes videos and pictures from text prompts. According to Alexandr Wang, who is Meta’s Chief AI Officer, Meta is licensing Midjourney’s “aesthetic technology” to incorporate into its future AI models and products.
Wang stated that Meta intends to adopt a comprehensive strategy to provide users with the highest quality products. This plan calls for hiring top-notch workers, following an ambitious computing roadmap, and working with the best companies in the AI field.
Meta had already released its own AI tools for making images and editing videos before this. Meta wants to improve its services by licensing Midjourney’s technology so that it can better compete with other big AI companies like OpenAI’s Sora and Google’s Veo.

Midjourney has recently made its V7 model the default for making images. This version is said to be a completely new AI model that is much better at understanding and processing text prompts than earlier versions.
