The tech site 9to5Google later wrote a lot about the news. Google has not yet made an official announcement about this change. Their help page in English still says that it is usually not possible to change your Gmail address.
Changing your address will be easy when the feature is available. You would log in to your Google account. Next, go to the settings for your personal information.
There should be a link there that lets you change your Gmail address. If you don’t see it right away, it might not have made it to your account yet. It is said that the rollout will happen slowly.
The ability to change your Gmail username is still in a limited testing phase for now. This possible change would be a big change in policy for one of the most popular email services in the world.
