WhatsApp has improved its group calling features, allowing users to plan group calls. To use this feature, users should go to the Calls tab, click the “+” button, and then choose “Schedule call.” This feature lets users invite friends or coworkers to an already set-up call.
The Calls tab shows scheduled calls, the list of people who will be on each call, and links to the calls. The person who made the call link gets alerts when people join. You can also add these call links directly to calendar apps, and people on the call will get alerts when it’s about to start.
WhatsApp has added interactive features that are similar to those on Zoom or Google Meet, in addition to scheduling. These include the ability to “raise your hand” to let people know you want to talk and emoji reactions during calls.
WhatsApp is now a stronger platform for work and group communication thanks to these changes. Since its founding in 2009 as a simple messaging app, WhatsApp has evolved significantly. This update is meant to make it easier and more fun to set up and make group calls.
