Control, an action-adventure game from Remedy Entertainment that has received widespread praise, will be available on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Vision Pro in early 2026. This move brings the full Control: Ultimate Edition experience to Apple’s mobile and spatial computing devices, following its release on Mac earlier this year.
The developer said that soon players will be able to enter the shape-shifting halls of the Oldest House on their Apple devices. The game will support both traditional controllers, like the DualSense, and on-screen touch controls. It hasn’t been officially confirmed, but most people think the Vision Pro version will also support hand tracking and gestures, making the experience even more immersive.
People who don’t know the title play as Jesse Faden, the new Director of the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC), a secret agency that looks into strange events. The game follows her as she looks for her kidnapped brother in the Oldest House, which is constantly changing. She has to fight the Hiss, a deadly supernatural threat, using telekinesis and a gun that can change shape. The Ultimate Edition includes the base game and both major expansions, “The Foundation” and “AWE.” The latter is a crossover story that links the worlds of Control and Alan Wake.

This addition to Apple’s ecosystem comes right after a big new update for console players. In early October 2025, Remedy released a major free update for Control: Ultimate Edition on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The “Dr. Yoshimi Tokui’s Guided Imagery Experience” mission, which has a voiceover by Hideo Kojima, and three outfits—the Astral Dive Suit, Tactical Response Gear, and Urban Response Gear—were all made available to all players with this patch.
The console update also brought big technical improvements, like support for HDR and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), as well as an “Unlock Frame Rate” option for both PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. This makes it the most technically advanced version of the game on consoles so far.
The new Apple device ports will let players explore the strange world of the Federal Bureau of Control in a whole new way. Control 2 is currently in development, so this release is a great chance for new players to get into the story and for old fans to return to the Oldest House on new platforms.
