The KeSPA Cup is making a big change for its 2025 edition. For the first time ever, the famous League of Legends tournament will only be available to watch on a global streaming service. This is a big step forward for one of the biggest esports events in South Korea.
Fans all over the world will have to watch Disney+ to see all the action now that this has happened. The exclusive deal is part of a bigger media partnership that could change how people watch competitive gaming.
Disney+ secures exclusive broadcast rights for premier KeSPA Cup tournament
The Walt Disney Company Korea is the only company that can show the 2025 League of Legends KeSPA Cup around the world. In September, I signed this agreement with the Korea e-Sports Association (KeSPA). It means that you won’t be able to watch the tournament for free on sites like YouTube anymore.

According to Esports Radar, this is the first time a major international streaming service has shown this event. Disney+ will show every match live in 11 Asia-Pacific countries, including South Korea, Japan, Australia, and some Southeast Asian countries.
This year’s KeSPA Cup will have 14 strong teams and will run from December 6 to 14. The competition includes all 10 professional teams from Korea’s LCK league. There will be special All-Star teams from Vietnam and Japan, as well as Cloud9 and Team Liquid, two of the best teams in North America’s League of Legends Championship Series (LCS).
According to esports.gg, this is the first time that teams from North America have been asked to play, which makes the event feel more international. During the tournament, subscribers will have access to a lot of content. Fans can watch live broadcasts with commentary in both English and Korean.
Disney+ will also have replays on demand, highlight clips, player interviews, and special features that show what happens behind the scenes. The early group stage matches will be played online, but the intense knockout stage will be held in front of a live audience at the Sangam SOOP Colosseum in Seoul.
In the end, the 2025 KeSPA Cup will change the way esports are broadcast. The tournament’s move to Disney+ gives it a huge audience and shows how valuable premium gaming content is becoming. This partnership is more than just this one event.
Disney+ also got the rights to make more content about Korea’s national esports team for the 2026 Asian Games. Fans know exactly what to do: the only way to watch this important KeSPA Cup is on Disney+.
