Belkin has come out with a new wireless HDMI dongle that can send audio and video without needing a Wi-Fi network or Bluetooth connection.

With the ConnectAir adapter, you can easily share your screen from laptops, tablets, and smartphones with larger displays over a long distance.

Belkin’s wireless HDMI dongle enables plug-and-play connectivity

The Belkin ConnectAir Wireless HDMI Display Adapter was on display at the CES 2026 tech show in Las Vegas. It makes it easier to watch things online. This wireless HDMI dongle system has two parts: a small USB-C transmitter that connects to your source device and a receiver that connects to an HDMI TV, monitor, or projector.

The main difference is that it can make its own direct wireless link, so it doesn’t need Bluetooth or the internet. It’s great for homes, schools, or conference rooms where it’s difficult to connect to the internet.

The device can play 1080p video in high definition at a smooth 60 Hz refresh rate. Belkin says that the latency is less than 80 milliseconds, so you can watch and play games without any lag.

The wireless HDMI dongle has an impressive operational range of up to 131 feet (40 meters), which lets you set up your room in various ways. One of its best features is that it can support multiple users. Up to eight different transmitter dongles can share a screen with a single display, making it easier to work together and give presentations.

Compatibility and availability of the wireless HDMI adapter

The Belkin wireless HDMI dongle works with a lot of different devices. It works with any USB-C device that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode, such as laptops that run Windows, macOS, or ChromeOS.

It works with newer tablets like the M1 and M2 iPad Pro and iPad Air, as well as smartphones that can play videos. The wireless HDMI dongle can be used with many different types of personal electronics to extend screens.

The ConnectAir adapter will cost $150 and come in black. Belkin has said that this new wireless HDMI dongle will be available for purchase in early 2026, even though it isn’t in stores yet.

The fact that it was shown off at CES shows that the trend toward cutting cables and making it easier to connect devices at home and at work is still going strong.
