Adobe Acrobat is changing from a program that lets you view static documents to one that lets you create dynamic content. A new feature uses generative AI to automatically create professional presentations and audio podcasts from uploaded documents and PDFs.
These new features, which build on Acrobat Studio and PDF Spaces, are a big step forward in making it easier for more people to analyze and repurpose complex documents.
Adobe Acrobat transforms documents into dynamic presentations and podcasts
Adobe Acrobat is getting a bunch of new AI-powered tools that are very useful. Engadget says that the most recent update adds four new generative AI features to Adobe Express, Acrobat Studio, and Adobe Acrobat. These features are built on the PDF Spaces function.

The most exciting new feature is the ability to create presentations independently. When adding files to a PDF Space, users can ask its AI assistant to present. The program creates an outline, and then the user can choose from professional design templates. The best part is that you can change most text and images without restarting the AI.
This makes it easier to change things quickly. Users can also share these presentations with coworkers right on the platform so they can work on them as a group. The update also makes it easier for people to work together because they can invite others to add files and leave notes.
Besides presentations, the AI assistant can edit. Natural-language prompts can make a dozen document changes. Changes include adding text, comments, images, and e-signatures. Adobe Acrobat has also redesigned its Help section to make it easier for traditionalists to find clear, step-by-step instructions for common tasks.

Making audio podcasts from documents is the newest feature. This feature in Adobe Acrobat creates an audio summary, like Google’s NotebookLM. By default, the AI makes the podcast sound like two hosts discussing the main points of the materials. This feature simplifies the process of understanding lengthy or complex documents.
Adobe says that many people are using the AI features in Adobe Acrobat because they save a lot of time. The company says that students have had a very positive reaction to the tools, which they use to summarize course materials quickly and make citations for fact-checking.
