Spotify and Instagram have made their partnership stronger by adding new features that make it easier and more fun to share music between the two platforms.
This update is meant to help Spotify’s huge user base of almost 700 million people by giving them more fun ways to share their favorite songs and let their friends know what they’re listening to.
One important change is that you can now share Spotify songs with a short audio clip right on Instagram Stories. When someone shares a song from Spotify to their Instagram Story, the post will now show a short clip of the song.
People who read the story can tap on the music sticker in the post to go straight to the full song on Spotify. This simplifies the process for friends and followers to listen to the shared song.

The Notes feature on Instagram has also been improved by being linked to Spotify. Users can make a note and then tap the music note icon to choose “Share from Spotify” from the audio browser.
The note will automatically change to show the song the user is currently listening to once it is connected. The note will change to show the next song that starts playing in the next 30 minutes if the user isn’t playing any music right now.
Friends can easily see what music the user is currently interested in because of this dynamic updating. People who see the note can also tap it to add the featured track to their favorite songs on Spotify. This functionality makes it easier for people to discover and interact with music together.
The Spotify app has also made it easier to share music on Instagram. When users share a song they are currently listening to, a new Instagram Notes icon appears next to other options for sharing on Instagram.

This new icon makes it easier for users to post the song to their Instagram Notes without having to go through any extra steps.
These new ways to connect Spotify and Instagram are now available all over the world and work on both iOS and Android devices. This makes the improved cross-platform music sharing experience more accessible and available to more people.
This partnership is another example of how social media and music platforms are working together more and more to connect people through shared audio experiences.
