The Halo franchise is making a big, but quiet, comeback right now. Halo: The Master Chief Collection (MCC) and Halo Infinite, the newer game, are both seeing a lot of new players right now. MCC recently had its highest number of players online simultaneously on Steam. Infinite has also seen a big and steady increase in active players over the past week.

There seems to be several things happening at once that are making people interested again. Halo Infinite just released its newest big update, “Operation: TENRAI IV.” This update adds a new mission called “Spartan Strike,” new cosmetic items, and gameplay improvements.

At the same time, a major open competition is underway in the Championship Series (HCS) community. MCC also continues to benefit from the regular updates and new content it has added over the years.

The fun doesn’t stop here. 343 Industries, the game’s developer, has hinted that this is just the beginning and that more new content and experiences await fans in the future. All in all, it shows that the famous franchise is making a strong comeback.
