Xbox Game Pass is now officially included with Discord Nitro, but it comes with a few specific limitations compared to the regular service. The new “Starter Edition” tier is launching as part of the Nitro Rewards program to mark the 10th anniversary of Discord’s premium subscription. With Xbox Game Pass now included, Nitro members can play more than 50 popular games for free. This new feature is only available to full Nitro subscribers. Members on the Basic or Classic plans are not eligible.

Understanding the Xbox Game Pass Starter Edition Limits

According to a report by Engadget, this version of the service is designed as an entry point rather than a replacement for the full subscription. Subscribers get access to a library of more than 50 games, including hit titles like Fallout 4, Stardew Valley, DayZ, and Grounded. However, unlike the standard Game Pass tiers, which offer unlimited cloud streaming, the Starter Edition limits users to 10 hours of cloud gaming per month.

Both communities benefit from this partnership. Gadgets 360 reports that current Game Pass subscribers will soon get Nitro perks, like monthly “Orbs” for customizing profiles and special shop discounts, starting later this month. Discord wants this change to help turn its service from just a chat app into a full gaming membership.

The update is now available to eligible subscribers in several regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and India. With Xbox Game Pass now included in the Nitro subscription, both companies hope to offer more value to loyal users and attract new gamers to their platforms.
