There are many unexpected indie games coming out in September, huh? Everyone say thanks to Nintendo! Hades 2, the sequel to Supergiant Games’ amazing roguelike Hades, finally has a release date. This news came during its Direct livestream. Get ready to kill Chronos on September 25th on Switch and PC.
Hades 2 showed off a flashy new animated trailer during the Direct that looked a lot like the first Hades trailer. It has Melinoë, the main character of Hades 2 and Zagreus’s sister. Zagreus is the prince of hell who tried to escape in the first game.
This time, Melinoë isn’t trying to escape hell; instead, she’s trying to break in and kill her grandfather, Chronos, the god of time. Like in Hades, the gods, mythological heroes, and the death-dealing power of her own two hands help Melinoë on her journey.
PC players have been able to play Hades 2 in early access for just over a year. The game has gotten many big updates, adding new content and weapons slowly over time as it gets closer to its full release.
The Direct says that Hades 2 will come out on Switch, Switch 2, and PC on September 25th, and that it will also come out in stores in November. There is no news yet on when it will be available for Xbox and PlayStation.
